New IAKS Executive Board elected

At the General Assembly of IAKS that took place on October 29, 2025, members elected the Executive Board for a 4-year term of office.

The new President is Darryl Condon, Managing Principal of hcma architecture + design from Canada. With over 30 years of professional experience, Condon has been responsible at hcma architecture + design for the realization of highly innovative and award-winning sports and leisure facilities across Canada. Since 2021, he has served as Vice President of IAKS. Darryl Condon succeeds Dr. Stefan Kannewischer who has led the IAKS since 2017 with great foresight, dedication, and empathy.

Tom Jones (Senior Principal at Populous, UK) and Yvette Audet (Business Development Manager at Fluidra Commercial, Australia) were confirmed in their roles as Vice Presidents. Steffen Strasser (Owner and General Manager of PLAYPARC, Germany) was elected as the third Vice President.

Holger Kortbek (Head of Sports Facilities, Municipality of Gladsaxe, Denmark) looks forward to another term as Treasurer.
